TimeTools is an Android application available on Google Play (com.kiltau.timetools). This policy explains which data the app processes, how Google acts as a processor for limited technical services, and which rights you have under EU and German law. TimeTools is designed to operate without collecting, storing, or transmitting personal data beyond what is technically required for analytics, crash reporting, or advertising managed by Google. No accounts, no registrations, and no direct contact with users exist.
TimeTools does not collect personal data and does not create user profiles.
The following information is stored only on your device:
Preferences: theme, consent state, notification settings, haptics (Android Settings DataStore).
Usage data: stopwatch laps, timer history, focus sessions (local Room database).
Location for Sun & Moon: GPS coordinates are used solely to calculate sunrise, sunset, and lunar events. The coordinates never leave your device. Manual entry is always available.
Deleting TimeTools or clearing its app data removes all local records permanently.
TimeTools uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which features function reliably. As configured:
Firebase receives aggregated event counts (e.g., tool opened, timer started).
Device metadata: device model, OS version, system language/locale.
Region derived from IP (coarse, not precise).
TimeTools does not enable precise location, advertising identifiers inside Analytics, user identifiers, or behavioral profiling.
You can delete all locally stored analytics identifiers by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling TimeTools.
Crashlytics receives technical information only when a crash occurs, such as:
stack traces
timestamp
app version
device model and OS build
available memory
a random installation-specific identifier (non-personal, used only to group repeated crashes)
Crash reports never include personal content, GPS data, stopwatch logs, timer history, or focus sessions.
TimeTools displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads provided by Google AdMob.
AdMob may process:
the Google Advertising ID (AAID)
coarse location
device capabilities
ad interaction data
Consent required under GDPR is collected through Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Ad personalization is turned off unless explicitly enabled by you within UMP.
You can:
select non-personalized ads in the UMP dialog
disable ad personalization in your Google account
reset your AAID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads
Rewarded ads require tokens from UMP to confirm reward eligibility. No personal data is shared beyond what is necessary for ad delivery and verification.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: required on Android 13+ so stopwatch, timer, and focus alerts can run reliably. You may decline or revoke it at any time; you will simply not receive completion notifications.
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION (optional): used only for Sun & Moon calculations. Coordinates stay solely on-device. You may decline without losing access; manual entry remains available.
TimeTools shares data only with Google LLC as a technical service provider for:
Firebase Analytics
Firebase Crashlytics
Google AdMob
Google User Messaging Platform
No other third parties receive data. TimeTools does not sell, rent, or exchange any data.
Google processes data under its own privacy policies and the agreements applicable to Google Play developers.
On-device data persists until you clear app storage or uninstall TimeTools.
Firebase Analytics and AdMob retain aggregated events according to Google’s standard retention periods (currently up to 14 months for Analytics).
Crashlytics retains crash data long enough to diagnose recurring issues.
All communication with Firebase and AdMob is encrypted via TLS.
Dependency updates are audited regularly to align with current security requirements.
TimeTools is intended for adults and teenagers. It is not directed at children under 13. AdMob is configured to avoid child-directed categories.
You have the right to:
withdraw or change ad-related consent at any time
disable permissions (notifications, location) in Android
erase all local data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app
reset technical identifiers through Android’s privacy settings
Because TimeTools does not collect personal data itself, no user accounts, no direct identifiers, and no contact-based processing exist. Any GDPR inquiries relating to data processed by Google must be directed to Google as the controller for those specific services.

TimeTools does not send marketing messages and cannot contact users proactively.
This policy may change to reflect technical or legal developments. Updates will appear within the app and on the Google Play listing.
